General Tips Page:
All women are encouraged to join us. We do suggest that you have general good health and a level of physical fitness that allows you to ride comfortably at 15 MPH. We always stay with the end rider and re-group as needed.
On each ride you will need to have: Helmet, ID, water, snack, cash, phone, spare tube, pump or CO2 cartridge to fix any flats.
How to prepare for a group ride:
If this is your first or second time on a bike, take note! Gradually increase your time on the bike….gradual is the key word. Each week should consist of several short rides with one long ride. Distances should be increased in very small increments. A good rule of thumb is a 10% increase in mileage than the previous week.
As you progress, take note of your energy and any discomfort. Muscles may burn or feel tired, but joints should not ache. You are exercising new muscles, including your fanny, your shoulders and neck. A good fitting bike will make a huge difference in comfort. More on this topic later!
